After the meal, Amos looked at his wristwatch.
“It’s still early. Let’s go now. You still have classes in the afternoon. After buying clothes, you go to class, I go to the hospital to accompany mom. I won’t be so free from tomorrow.”
“Why?”
Amos paused for a moment. Of course, he could not tell the real reason for his lack of leisure. He tilted his head and shaved Alice’s nose.
“Don’t think about it much. I just found a job and start to go to work tomorrow. And I won’t have as much time as I do now. But as long as I have time, I’ll come and be with you and mom. By the way, there’s another thing I forgot to tell you. We’re moving. I’ve found a house and I’ll show you around later.”
Alice was stunned. “Amosy, my head is dizzy! You have paid so much medical fee and the clothes, and even renting a new house! They all need a lot of money! Be honest to me! How can you have so much money? You can’t do evil to earn a living!”
The brother who had just come back only for a few days suddenly became so rich, which made this simple little girl feel unbelievable.
Amos once again rubbed Alice’s nose and said affectionately, “I earn every cent legitimately, and fair and square. Don’t worry about that.”
Amos took his younger sister to a small shopping mall to buy some clothes for her. After all, Alice was still a student and it was not necessary to buy those brand clothes. And even he wanted to do that, Alice will stop him.
“Amosy, I really don’t need those famous brands. My schoolmates might think that if I have robbed a bank if I wear those clothes. I have been already very satisfied with these new clothes. Making money is not easy. And mom is still in the hospital. Keep the money for her.”
Amos then did as his sensible sister said.
After buying the clothes, Amos took Alice to the community where he had rented their new house.
It was a newly-developed community and the house he had rented was on the top floor with excellent lighting. The house had three rooms and a living room, perfect for his family of three. And the previous occupants had decorated it well, simple but ingenious. He was very satisfied with the apartment. He looked back at Alice and asked softly, “what do you think? Do you like it?”
“Very much...”
Alice looked at the beautiful house and didn’t know what to say. Finally, she said, “It must be very expensive, Amosy…”
“No! Not at all!”
Smiling, Amos took Alice’s hand and led her to one room.
“As I told you, don’t worry about money. This is your room. From today on, it is your little world. You are a big girl, from now on this is your private space. The desk and the computer are brand-new, and the others are decorated in accordance with the style you like.”
The computer?!
Saw a new notebook on the desk, Alice almost jumped with excitement. She would have wanted a computer for quite a long time. However, her brother had just solved the problem for her.

When Amos and Alice dreaming about their beautiful life in the future, Rebecca came back to the villa of her grandfather.
She deliberately came back after Amos had left. But she never thought that her grandpa told her that Amos would be her bodyguard from tomorrow on, which made her displeased.
Thinking of the fact that she had to spend such a long time with that unreliable man every day, she then felt unbearable. She frowned and asked, “Grandpa, is there really no other way? If you feel satisfied with his skills, then we can find another man with high skills to do this job. Why must be him?! I really hate that guy!”
Mr. White picked up the teacup in front of him and drank it.
“Rebecca, no one can replace him. He is the best man who can protect you. Trust me. I’m in poor health. The company can only rely on you. I can’t allow anything to happen to you. Last time, it was not lucking that you can beat the rap on the plane. Without Amos, I’m afraid the consequences cannot be imagined. “Of course I know those people are not ordinary people. They are killers.”
Rebecca thought about it for a while and seemed to catch a flaw in her grandfather’s words.
“Therefore, Amos must be not an ordinary man either. Grandpa, who is he exactly?”
There was a flicker of scruple in Mr. White’s eyes. He shook his head and said, “Curiosity killed the cat. There are things you might as well not know.”
Rebecca frown. She cannot understand grandpa’s arrangement. He hired Amos to protect her without telling her who he really was. Why?
What was the true identity of that rascal?
Why was Grandpa so sure that he could help our family?
Curiosity towards Amos gradually swept over Rebecca but she was not aware of it.
