When the introductions at the hospital are over, I head to the office that has been assigned to me. It's a pleasant place with everything I need. Mr. David accompanies me.
"Well, son. That's all from me. Now I hope you're as good as Annie boasts you are." I smile at the man who will probably become my father-in-law.
"Don't worry, I won't let you down." He pats me on the shoulder and says goodbye.
I take a look around my new place. It's not as fancy as the one I had in Ontario, but it's fine.
Although if it were up to me, I would go back to the brigades. That's where I've really been happy. That's where I met the most beautiful doll in the world.
