As soon as I'm out of the house, I stop for a moment to look up at the sky. I don't understand at what point my life became so complicated. I feel like I have no direction, no purpose. But I'm aware that all the damage I caused is catching up to me. I'm about to leave when someone puts their hand on my shoulder. I turn to see who it is and meet Arnie's hawkish gaze. Dawson is beside him. They look at me with pity, despite the pain I caused their cousin.
"Are you leaving?" Arnie asks me, and I just nod. "We're coming with you. It's been a while since we went out drinking together." I just nod again. I decide to leave my car at home, while my friends follow me. I don't even go inside. I just lock the car and get into Arnold's luxury car in the passenger seat. Like any powerful man, D
