As the scream ripped through her, Carrie felt as if her soul was ripped from her as well, and her surroundings grew bright and hazy - like a photo that had too many filters applied and the brightness maxed out. Even as Sebastian appeared by her side and shook her, Carrie couldn’t feel the strong hands that gripped her shoulder or the motion her body made as she was shaken.
