One evening after a few days of training, the members of the two packs sat in a circle around an empty clearing with a large bonfire at the centre. It had been a long day of gruelling exercises, but it was time for the highlight of the day.
Earlier in the day, Arthur had challenged Julian and Winter to a combat fight after the two beat him and Blue on an obstacle course. He claimed that ability to fight was the most important thing, and the fight would be the determinant as to which pair was the best team.
Julian and Winter had agreed to the challenge, and everybody had been eagerly waiting for it. Julian and Winter had been paired together in several training tasks, but everyone felt this was what would show how well they worked together.
