On the day of the engagement ceremony, Winter sat in her dressing room, getting ready. This was the day everybody had been waiting for, and she was not sure how she felt about it.
She had always dreamed of a day like this, but now that it was happening, it was nothing like what she had imagined. She was supposed to be over the moon with happiness. Instead, she was a bundle of nerves.
Once the ceremony was done, she would officially be recognised as Julian’s mate and the next Luna of the Atlas pack. Anything she did after that would directly impact their two families and packs.
She stood in front of the mirror and took in her appearance. The dress was exquisite, the most beautiful thing she had ever worn. She tried to put a smile on her lips, but it looked forced.
