Vicker’s heart clenched in his chest, and for a second he couldn’t breathe. He stared at her speechless. She was making him feel like he’d won the entire world. He leaned his head on her chest. “I’ve wanted this for so long, I’m not sure what to say,” he said, feeling a little out of sorts. When you've wanted something for so long and you finally get it, it seems unreal, especially after the s**t he’d been through.
