Mae’s eyes landed on Larson. He stood to the side while his pack members gathered around her. Her sister and Kalan were there too. Mae was shocked that she was even there. She didn’t remember much of what happened after Nayla ran away from Vicker. But it looked like she went back for him, after she somehow convinced Larson to go back and help Vicker. Mae couldn’t believe that he’d done that for her. She stared at him fascinated. He looked unreal somehow – like a dream. He was still as formidable as before.
