Time seemed to stop as they waited for Maximus to send his vampires to attack them. Vicker shook out his arms as anticipation buzzed through him. The thrill of the fight burned through him, making his body feel tight as everything in him focused on what was coming. He took a deep breath, praying that he survived this.
“Here they come,” Cassia commented beside him. The air around them thrummed as vampires teleported around them. They appeared and disappeared as they got closer. They were surrounding them. But they didn’t know the other wolves were inside the cabins waiting for this very moment.
“Now!” Marcus shouted and the other wolves rushed out of the cabins. Marcus turned into his wolf with a roar. His brother followed.
