Mae took a deep breath as she walked around the garden. The fireflies flew above her, and she stared at them with awe. They seemed to have a life of their own, following an invisible path only they could see. For tiny bugs, they brought so much light into the world, she thought, lifting her hand as if she could touch them. “I knew I would find you here,” Mae turned to find Larson standing a few paces from her.
