Mae stared over her shoulder at where Vicker stood staring at the car as it drove off. She knew that Larson was right. They couldn’t wait for the sun to set. More vampires could come and attack. It seemed they were going to come after him until he was dead. Larson made a turn and she couldn’t see him anymore. She faced the front, worried about Vicker.
