            The way back to LA didn’t take nearly as long as I expected, maybe because I slept through most of it. This time, we made sure that we weren’t followed. We would at least need some time to get with Cole and his friend Jim to work out a plan. I still haven’t told Joel about not wanting to hurt Nick. His mind was already made up about Nick. Joel thought that Nick would never stop until one of them was officially dead.             I should probably be honest with Joel and tell him that I didn’t want to see Nick hurt. It wasn’t that I wanted to be with Nick, but he was just lost. I would much rather have him locked up for all the things he has done than punish him by killing him.
