            Nick was waiting outside the dressing room. He had brought me to this fancy shop that was all about weddings and nothing more. The dresses were long, beautiful, bedazzled, and too much damn money. Everything here was way out of my price range, and besides, it wasn’t like I was happy to be getting married. When a girl dreams of her wedding, which I never did, it wasn’t supposed to be like this. I felt like I was in some sort of forced marriage.             Jaz, the owner of the shop, helped me to pick out a few dresses. She was polite and seemed sympathetic toward me. I guess maybe she could see how much I wanted out of this. I told her what I would settle for, but nothing white or off-white. Yuck.
