I'm escorted back to my room immediately after dinner to find that the book on mate bonds, mentioned by my mother, is already waiting for me. I've read a few books on mating bonds, but this one looks much older. I open the book to see the publishing date to check that it is, in fact, old and not just used. The book was published almost 200 years ago; it's probably one of the first books ever published on the topic.
I change out of my silly costume, into pjs and clean up my face and hair. I sit back down on the bed and peruse the table of contents to find the chapters that don't overlap with the past books I've read. I start reading and quickly realize that this book is probably on the banned list of books that are no longer carried in libraries nor allowed in school.
