Jasinda woke up disoriented. Her mouth tasted nasty and her head felt cloudy, the cotton stuffed in nose feeling, slowly disappearing. Opening her eyes, Jasinda blinked her eyes rapidly as the bright light hurt for the first couple of seconds.
Hearing noises, beeps, voices, Jasinda hummed and tried to sit up but felt too weak. "Sir, she's awake!" Jasinda heard commotion and someone telling someone to get someone. But she couldn't keep up, her brain felt like mush.
She just knew she wanted a bath, her bed, and to get this horrible taste out of her mouth. And not in that order.
Th bed she was laying on was raised so she could sit up, and she looked at a man she'd never seen. Old, very Santa Claus in the face, but luckily not so much in the waist. The man looked at her concerned as he rushed to her side, "How do you feel dear?" Jasinda hummed, "Confused...tired...achy." Smacking she whispered, "Thirsty."
The man, who she deduced from the white coat and stelescope he was a doctor. Looking him over, Jasinda sipped the water he gave her and watched him sit it down. Looking around as she started to come to her sense, Jasinda's eyes widened as she looked at Jade and Erica in the same predicament as her.
On some weird kind of bed that was emitting a light around her very scfi like. With a weird blue iv in her arm, Jasinda began to freak the f**k out. But then Leo rushed in, "Baby, baby breath everything is okay." Jasinda started to calm down until she jerked back suddenly.
"What did you eject me with?" Leo sighed and sat down, "The most potent, most unattainable cure ever known to man and won't be known to any other man." Jasinda looked at Leo confused, "What? Leo please speak English before I punch you in the throat."
Leo winced, "Basically right now, a cure for any kind of anthrax, disease, or health crises like this again. And...it'll keep us healthy for a while. Really healthy." Jasinda swallowed hard, "And you couldn't tell me that and just...you know give it to me like a normal person?"
Leo licked his lips, "We found out it's easier for the body to accept the injection if the person isn't aware they're going to be injected." Jasinda looked over at Jade and Erica, "Why aren't they awake then?" Leo looked at Jasinda carefully, "You weren't supposed to wake up this fast."
Jasinda looked at Leo confused, "What do you mean?" Leo sighed, "The medicine we put in your veins isn't for the light of heart baby. It takes some time to work it's way in and all the way through."
Leo shrugged, "It's only been two days for you." Jasinda jerked back confused and then she sat up, "Wait...what about Jade? And Erica?" Looking over at them, Jasinda had only did a quick glance. Only for her eyes to go back real quick and then she was out of bed. Leo followed her scared she'd hurt herself.
But it was him who should have been afraid for himself when Jasinda turned and hit him in the chest, "What the f**k are you doing to Niko!" She shouted hitting him, looking down at the little girl, Jasinda looked horrified to see Niko's eyes covered by this soft looking cottony material as she slept.
What freaked Jasinda out besides Niko's super extreme futuristic incubator from year 4000. Was being filtered was a bluish mist that lightly flowed through.
It was set at just the right pressure where Niko was getting enough air and medicine. "Baby she's fine!" Leo tried to reassure her, "She's going through the same treatment but instead of an IV we designed this for her. Something much more easier for her body to take. We were more concerned about you three than her."
Jasinda looked at Leo unsure before nodding. He helped her get back in bed, "What the hell is happening Leo?" Jasinda grumbled as she sipped more water. Leo looked at her, "We're about ten minutes from blowing the world up baby so everyone can get the change they deserve. But first...we needed to cover you guys first. Make sure that if a dirty stunt is pulled, we can still be okay."
Jasinda slowly nodded and looked at Jade and Erica, "So when will they wake up?" Leo sighed, "We don't know, it depends on how their bodies accept the medication. We had hope with Erica and you, we could already see how it could be a success. With you two have the same DNA as Malcolm and Darius and them having survived. And Niko's treatment is much simpler, it's Jade who we're worried about."
After being fed a hot soup with a huge buttery roll Jasinda was feeling so much better. "How did you guys find a medicine like this?" She asked laying back in bed tired. Leo looked at her carefully, "Baby, you remember when I said I had stole from a warehouse? A private government warehouse?"
Jasinda nodded, and so Leo continued, "The things I stole that day weren't just money, files, and weapons. I also stole a formula. One potent enough to protect "certain individuals" in case things go side ways and the entire country needs to be turned into a hazard waste land."
Wincing, Jasinda asked, "So what now?" Leo looked at her nervously, "Well like I said, you weren't supposed to wake up this early. Things are about to go to s**t for awhile babe, we're actually about to move locations. Again."
Jasinda looked at Leo startled, "What why?" Leo smiled sadly, "The world is going to blow up when some stuff comes to light. We want you all safe, we'll be doing damage control and we don't want you all harmed."
Suddenly then, the room was bomb rushed and things started happening fast. Jasinda tried not to panic as she looked around nervously as she was soon pushed into an SUV with Leo holding her tight.
"I know your confused and scared, but just breathe baby. I got you." Leo whispered in her ear. Jasinda decided then that she'd listen to her man and just buried her face in his neck. As they were getting on the private airplane, Leo was laying Jasinda down in one of beds when they heard the loudest horn blaring throughout the world.
"Jesus Christ is the purge starting?" Jasinda whispered horrified. Leo looked up at Darius who looked grim as he nodded. Looking back at his woman, Leo whispered, "Something like that."
But he knew it wouldn't be innocent people about to be on the stake about to be roasted. It would be a couple republicans, two state senators, and then the one sitting on the chair. All of the white male patriarchy stopping the world from going forward was in hot water now.
So as the plane started to raise and take the family to another safe home, their last one was burst into by swat. The F.B.I hound looked around for any trace of anyone but found nothing. "s**t!"
He cursed confused on how they always knew when to leave before he could get to them. "Got 'em?" His sergeant asked over their intercom. "Negative! The suspects have fled." Looking around one last time, the hound flipped the nice dinning room table over in anger.
Storming out, he knew the job just got to level impossible now. And as the second round of horns blared, the F.B.I hound knew it wouldn't be long before the house of cards tumbled down.
