POV: Naomi The children’s café was loud in the best possible way. Children laughed from different corners of the room while colorful books filled almost every shelf in sight. Soft music played quietly in the background, mixing with the sound of little feet running around and excited voices arguing over storybooks. The entire place smelled faintly like coffee, vanilla, and crayons. Sophie sat cross legged on one of the reading cushions near the fantasy section, completely focused on a picture book in her hands. “…and then the dragon ate the cupcake castle,” she said dramatically, flipping the page. “But I still think the princess should’ve fought him.” I smiled softly from where I sat nearby. “Why?” Sophie looked up immediately. “Because dragons that steal cupcakes are criminals.”
