Veronica I glanced over my shoulder, but I still couldn’t quite figure out who was watching me. I knew someone was, but there were just too many people. “Eyes up front,” my mother remarked softly, and I sighed as I faced forward once again. I wanted to pay attention to the ceremony, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of someone watching me. It was highly distracting. “By the power vested in me, it is my greatest honor and pure delight to declare you husband and wife! Josiah and Amani Black!” Grayson announced and we all hurriedly stood up and cheered. I felt momentarily bad for basically missing the ceremony, but there was nothing I could do about it now. “You may now kiss your bride,” I watched as Josiah and Amani sealed their vows with a kiss and I smiled. However, once again I got that feeling that I was being watched but I remained still as I waited for Josiah and Amani to leave. Once they started walking back down the aisle, I turned around and tried to figure out who had been watching me. However, everyone was now leaving, and I followed behind my mother. The entertainment hall looked spectacular, and I had to hand it to Sierna. I was impressed. “Honey,” my mother called out and I frowned as I spun around to see where she was. “Over here,” I finally spotted her, but my eyes then landed on two males. They were staring at me, and I wasn’t about to deny the instant attraction. “Veronica!” my mother then yelled as she stepped in front of me, blocking my view of the incredible-looking men. “What?” I snapped as I tried to look over her shoulder. “Amani has asked us to join them for their photos,” she said, and I sighed. Technically, we weren’t anything to them, but since my mother and Josiah had once been close, he thought of us as family. I wasn’t going to go against that since I felt the same way. I then nodded as I pushed the thoughts of those two men out of my head and followed my mother outside. Amani and Josiah stood in front of a lovely arrangement. It did look somewhat natural, but clearly, the tree was the focal point. The added rose bushes had been strategically planted to create such a beautiful backdrop. The camera guy snapped a bunch of photos as different people joined the newly wedded couple. Soon enough, it was our turn, and my mother and I quickly hurried to join them. “Bride or groom?” the guy asked, and I rolled my eyes. He was a member of Skaydal, wasn’t he? Surely, he should know. “Groom, to the left please,” he said. My mother and I stood at Josiah’s side while the guy snapped another few photos. By the time we were done, I was eager to get back inside. “Wasn’t it lovely?” my mother asked, and I frowned as I glanced over at her. “Wasn’t that lovely?” I asked. “The ceremony?” “Yes,” “Yes, it was,” I said. I believed it would’ve been lovely and I felt guilty for being so distracted. “It was so lovely to hear what they had to say to one another,” my mother continued as she led us to our table. I couldn’t see the two men anywhere, so I gave up. It may have been my imagination, so it was best that I at least pay attention at the reception. “And it will be lovely to hear what others have to say about our Josiah and his Amani,” “Ahuh…did you finish your speech, mother?” I asked her as we sat down. I didn’t know any of the people at our table, so I didn’t bother paying them any attention. I did spot a few people I had gotten to know from the diner, but they were at other tables. Couldn’t Sierna or Amani have organized the seating a bit better? “I did,” she said, and I nodded as I continued to look around. When I spotted the two men sitting at a nearby table, I gasped. They were real and while they weren’t looking my way, it gave me the perfect chance to check them out. I quickly realized that they must be twins as they looked identical. Both had shaggy light brown hair. One was a bit more stylish than the other, but it looked as though it was the same cut. Strong jawlines, straight nose, and full lips, and both were clean-shaven. If I had to take a guess, they were tall and well-built. It made my mouth dry just looking at them in their summer suits. Suddenly, they both looked at me and their piercing amber-colored eyes confirmed that they were wolves. For some reason, this made me gasp as they stared at me. I was unable to look away and one of them smirked. The other one frowned before he looked away. The one that was still looking at me winked before he, too, looked away. Who were they? “Are you paying attention, Ronnie?” I snapped my attention back to the table and I blushed. “Ah…” I wasn’t sure how to cover my embarrassment, so I decided not to. “Sorry, I was distracted by identical beauty,” the members sitting at our table all turned to look at the two men. My mother included. “Oh, that would be the Biggs twins,” the older female remarked as she turned back to me. “Conrad and Callum,” Conrad and Callum Biggs. Twins. Both are absolutely sexy as hell. Double trouble. I would be sure to steer clear of them, one way or another. The last thing I needed was to get involved in something like that. I scoffed as the subject was changed and the first course had been served. I refused to look over at their table, even though I felt their eyes on me from time to time. It was both flattering and scary.
