Bradley and Maria sat across from each other in the crowded mess hall full of the flight deck crew and Eirerinia troops who had been assigned to assist the flight deck in maintenance and operations. The room was loud with boisterous chatter and the occasional burst of laughter, but the two of them were as silent as church mice. Both were waiting for the other to start the "After the first night together" conversation. The one where they discuss if they shared the same ideas of where their relationship was or if they had totally destroyed their friendship. They had both been avoiding it all day with their duties as a valid reason, but suddenly they found themselves face to face without any more excuses.
