Getting the QSG cross circuited and patched back together ended up being the easy part. Once Ryan figured out what needed to be done it only took him and a team of five engineering specialist about six hours to do the work. The hard part was going to be to figure out how to shed 9% of the colossal ship. The mass of the ship included everything regardless if it was attached to the ship or not. So it wasn't so much a problem of throwing stuff off the ship. They could dismantle enough furniture, fixtures, doors and personal items to reach the 9%, but it was the weight distribution as well.
