With the first light of dawn, the road leading south from Bryerstone was a sea of over 2000 people. Some on foot and some on carts pulled by animals or saddled Kanis-steeds. The royal guard that always stayed with the Queen took the lead with the Royal caravan in the front of the line, a line which went back for over a mile as they slowly moved toward the next Kingdom. The journey would take them over three days at a foot traveler's pace. Some wanted to ride ahead, but the Queen would not have it.
