I was informed today that my company asked me to go to Switzerland for a business trip.
Recently the company had a very important project under negotiation in Switzerland but was not on the table yet. As the head of the business department and the monthly business champion, I was asked by the company to help my colleagues in Switzerland take the project.
Boss promised me that he would give me the project manager position once I took the project.
It was a rare opportunity to get a promotion, and I had to take it. I immediately went back to my apartment to pack. The company bought a ticket for me in the afternoon, and I still had plenty of time.
But as I was carrying my suitcase to the airport, I got a call from Boss.
