When I looked with my naked eye, I could barely see Mayah moving through the dark room, she was shadow on shadow. But when I looked through the viewfinder of the night vision camera, a very different scene revealed itself. I could see Mayah clearly, but all around her other anomalies were moving. They appeared as lighter, vaguely humanoid shapes in night vision, which means they were actually darker than the surroundings.
