The morning sun felt different on my skin. Warmer and much more safer. For the first time in weeks, I'd slept through the night without nightmares. No visions of vampires or blood or Blake's twisted face. Just peaceful darkness and Axel's steady breathing beside me. I turned to watch him sleep.
