It was dark and rainy outside and we were sitting in front of a grandiose family meal, prepared specially for today’s special event. My dad’s birthday.
My mom and I spent almost half of the day working on the dishes now serves in the table. The hardest part to do was cooking his favorite English beef stew. It was the longest dish for us to prepare. My mom told me that it was the nature of the meat to be cook for so long to make it tender and with the right amount of seasonings and secret magical cooking steps, as she labeled it, we will be able to achieve the taste that my father always loves about my mom’s cuisine.
Wearing a cone shape hat over my head, I am so much excited on welcoming dad from work. Though these hats weren’t really my thing since I am a grown up boy now.
