Chapter 14: The Dissing Circle

550 Words
“Alright now, ladies. I will be calling your names in random sequence then, you will come here in the open space to execute what you got,” a current member of cheerleading club instructed whom if I remember clearly from the short introduction they did few moments ago was Stephanie.` She was holding a handheld mini horn speaker to add volume on her humanly mediocre voice volume.   Bella and I both clapped our hands midair. “This is it,” I commented.   She smiled in return. “Right, let’s do our best. We just need to properly execute what Shamcey had taught us. It’s an advantage that we sync naturally, a big must on duo performance,” Bella excitedly explained.   In order to save time, the instruction the other day was to do a routine on the upbeat, lively music of Cayen Heart Filia, by two’s. This means that two aspirants will present at a time. And as clear as crystal clear water, I am paired up with Bella. My confidence had at least on a right level as Bella was a real fast learner and she does stunts properly. I can keep up with a nice partner with me.   As we were about to start, Ayesha got the horn speaker from Stephanie. “There will be an adjustment on the instruction effective now. From duo auditions, I, in behalf of the Club President, will conduct an individual audition instead. Cheerleading squad had always been on the top board of the school’s popularity club charts for five straight years. Naturally, we do not want to get a freeloader get in, thus, a single auditions,” she amended the instruction given during the listing.   Most the aspirants girls were literally surprised into their core. Obviously, they were somewhat uneasy. Like who wouldn’t be. Basing on their physical statures, most of them were Junior Highschoolers still. Only few were Senior highschoolers like ours.   I can see glint of hesitation on some of the current member of the club in front, but after quite a moment, Stephanie got the horn speaker and formally started the try out.   “Alright, girls. Be on your feet. We’re starting now. The first one would be--” Stephanie was cut off by a junior who was obviously losing any sense of confidence she once have earlier.   “C-Can you not re-reschedule the try out tomorrow so that we will have at least some time to prepare?” the girl in braided hair asked. She was looking at her feet, meaning she was actually nervous about standing up to her seniors as well, despite her bravery to throw a question on their decision.   But the jury didn’t heed her words and ignored her. “Only those who were flexible to adopt on unexpected changes will be admitted. Let’s start with Bella Park,” Ayesha announced.   This is bad, I saw a smirk plastered on her face as if saying ‘I’ll start getting even with your friends.’ Van’s girlfriend was indeed someone to be careful with. One of the most difficult person to deal with were those wicked. And Ayesha was one. No doubt on it.
