Axel was adamant that they stay on the second floor, well away from our bedroom, and I wasn’t about to argue. It wasn’t worth stirring the pot; I didn’t really mind where they chose to sleep. I couldn’t see the issue, considering his bedroom, the office, and the conference room were all soundproofed. It wasn't like they would hear anything. But I suppose he preferred to keep them clear of us for his own reasons. There was definitely more going on with this family than I had initially realized, but for now, I decided to take a step back and just observe.
