As we returned to the packhouse, the atmosphere felt oddly quiet, with no one lingering around. It seemed Axel had once again ordered everyone to clear out. Thankfully, there was dinner ready for us, and I was grateful for another hearty meal before heading off to take a shower and prepare for bed. The following morning, I found myself waking up in my bedroom, nestled comfortably in Axel's arms. He was still deep in sleep, so I carefully wriggled free and made my way downstairs. As I descended, I noticed two guards stationed at the bottom of the stairs. I shot them a cautious glance as I walked by, and they both gave me a respectful nod. "Can I ask what you’re doing here?" I ventured. "Alpha Axel has requested our presence at the packhouse at all times," one of the warriors responded.
