As the warriors were standing where the gunshot came from, they were all looking around at everyone wondering what the hell was going on. They were sure that they heard a gunshot, but they couldn't see anything in front of them.
They all turned around and returned to their posts.
But inside the shield that I had put up around me and Carmen, she was hanging off the ground by the roots of the tree that was behind her and the gun had fallen to the ground. She got off one shot as the roots grabbed her and it only grazed my torso. Not enough to do any real damage and I was able to stand there looking at her.
I limped over to the gun and I emptied out the bullets and threw the gun away and she realized that I put a shield up around us so that no one could see us.
