AXEL POV I woke up to the sun shining in my face, which I hated. Madison, however, loved sleeping with the curtains open to see the full moon. I reached out, but her side of the bed was empty and cold. She wasn't here and hadn't been for a while. She had trouble sleeping again last night, which was understandable given everything going on. I got up and went to the kitchen, but she wasn’t there. I also checked the back where she usually smokes, but she was missing. I searched the packhouse but couldn’t find her. She wouldn’t leave without telling me, knowing I’d worry. So, I went back to our room, grabbed my phone from the shorts I wore yesterday, and called her. I heard it ringing right behind me. I turned, and it was on the bedside table. She never went anywhere without her phone.
