Mama was studying in the library with stacks of books around her just obscuring her from view, when Papa, the party animal that he is, wakes up in the library. He has just attended his engagement party to some other Shifter family and he admittingly didn’t want the engagement.
In his drunken haze, he smelled her in the room. He stalked around the room as he tries to look for the alluring smell, but it didn’t occur to him to look over the stack of books. He stumbled into it when he tripped on his feet and crushing Mama with his weight and the books.
