“Wolf?” I say out loud. “I didn’t ask for a wolf.”
‘I know,’ Jericho snorts. ‘Straight up denied poor Alejandro.’
‘I just didn’t want to change my entire being,’ I argue.
‘You aren’t changing your entire being,’ Jericho explains. ‘Celeste felt you needed a wolf whether you wanted it or not. You are still you.’
I sigh, ‘I’m not sure I like that explanation. Is it common for Celeste to just give people wolves whether they want it or not?’
‘No, it’s not common at all. It’s quite rare,’ Jericho tells me.
I kick the cold ground, ‘So, you said that I can’t shift yet?’
‘Right, you must wait until the next full moon before fully shifting. The best I can do now is a half shift,’ He explains.
‘And that’s what?’ I question.
‘I’ll only be able to come partly out. You’ll look mostly
