I take the piece of paper from Heidi and look it over, “Do you think I am stupid, Heidi?” I scoff at my ex-wife. She shrugs. “This paper is clearly fake.”
“I just want my daughter back,” Heidi whines.
“I have never once kept you from seeing our daughter,” I argue. “You haven't tried to see her once in the three months she has been here. And you barely ever call, and you only talk for a few minutes when you do. Lily is heartbroken every time you hang up on her.”
“I have a lot going on, Clayton,” Heidi counters. “I don’t have time to talk on the phone all the time.”
“What could be more important than talking to your daughter?” I snarl.
Heidi sighs, “I just want my daughter back, Clayton.”
“Hand her over, and there won’t be a fight,” Jake sneers.
