MONIQUE It was after nine when I unlocked the door to my condo, swinging it open slowly and sighing when I was met with darkness and silence. I flipped the light on, kicking the door shut with the heel of my foot and wincing when it banged louder than I had intended. I dropped my keys into the bowl on the center table and put my things on the couch. This day is so tiring.
