“I didn’t know he has a girlfriend?” Angela brought up the topic.
Margaret spared her a glance. “Well, apparently, he has one.”
The daughter noticed the hint of disdain in her mother’s voice.
“Have you met her? You don’t like her? What’s her name?”
Margaret tried to calm herself down. Luke won’t be happy if she showed an attitude of not welcoming that woman. He might leave after saying a statement or two about his firm position, if he knew she’s hostile.
“Her name’s Nia Clark. Her background isn’t that good. But…” She recalled the information given by Luke about her family.
“Her father is Luke’s donor.”
Angela, who wasn’t that interested earlier, was now curious about this woman.
“Donor? As in… how did that happen?” Then, her father is already dead. That was clear to Angela.
