I’m sitting on the shore, hugging my knees and letting the smell of the ocean seep in my system. I watched the ocean and the orange sky meeting and I couldn’t help but admire the picturesque beauty of the scene. I sighed. Later tonight, we’ll be flying back to Chicago. Our bags are already packed and in hours, I will be back to the city where I grew up. A pang of pain crossed my chest now that I feel like I am leaving Nevada. I have enjoyed my life here and honestly, I have learned to love the beach because of this. Above all, I’m going to miss Nick and Annie.
