Summer/ Emma’s POV  I sit on the back step of the beachhouse and look out over the ocean.  The dark waves lapping at the sand, their rugged beauty drawing me in like a moth to the flame.  Despite their beauty, the sound of the waves are doing little to calm my nerves. I push my toes further into the sand and bring my nails to my mouth, biting on them nervously.  I haven’t heard anything since Wes left a while ago. The thought briefly crosses my mind that he hasn’t done what I asked but I don’t have a reason to doubt him.  There’s something in his manner which is calming and sincere, I just hope he was able to get to his wife in time before Nicholas closed the boundary.  I wrap my arms around my body, protecting myself from the chill of the sea breeze.  The salty air blows through m
