"And that is all of the official documents signed," I sighed in satisfaction.
For over a year, I'd been gathering all the royals of the six kingdoms and requesting that the Coming Of Age Ceremony be canceled once and for all. To replace it, we just agreed that our children who would be gaining the throne of their kingdom would make a choice of meeting the princes (or princesses) and would be able to get to know them for their personality. No more choosing a spouse based on s****l interest alone. Or fall in love with whomever they choose. I, my parents, and so on were proof of what could happen when you married someone purely for their body and each kingdom agreed that could never happen again.
