I was furious. I was angry. I was frustrated. She couldn’t take help from us but could put her life in danger. David once told me about that competition. They all were monsters who were hungry for blood and money. They would not think before killing someone for a few bucks. How could Steph survive that competition???
She deposited the money and tomorrow David would go for the surgery. Till now, everything was fine. But, nothing was fine. I could see sadness and pain in David’s eyes. He did everything to stop her from going into these underground fights. He managed to get this job so that he could earn well and she had not gone through the pain and suffering due to these fights. Now, she put her life in danger for him.
