Morielle’s chest was heavy like lead was hanging on it. She had no choice. If the Reoc prisoners were tortured by the veddelo, she had no idea if they would be able to hold. But seeing one of Dandrus’ close friends being one of them, she could not help but tried to save him and the others. She slapped him in the face to keep him from provoking the Naim ruler. But he and the others did not seem to get the message.
She paced in the king’s bedroom, while he talked with his saighs outside. She wanted to eavesdrop but better not risk it.
