Together, Colt and Nicolette went through the whole convoluted story for Chris. They managed to get through it with a minimal amount of giggling from Nicolette, and a good deal of ribbing from both Lettie and Chris. It was good natured, for the most part, but Colt hoped that they’d both worked out all the dumping on Colt they had in them because he was honestly getting tired of both their s**t.
It was a relief when Chris finally let them go, and they could move onto a conversation with Nicolette’s parents that was, somehow, less embarrassing and stressful than the ones they’d had earlier in the day. All things considered, Nicolette’s parents took the news of their rekindled romance in stride. Her mother more so than her father, but Colt would take whatever he could get. Broderick Cavanaug
