Calli POV
“Niko!” I whisper-yell as I look towards the metal door. The coast is clear and I don’t think they can hear me. Niko groans loudly on the floor of his cage. “Pssst! Niko, wake up!” I try again.
His eyes blink rapidly as he tries to fight the drowsiness. This is how it has been for however long we have been down here. As soon as they hear us talking, they come in and sedate us with the same concoction they did in the battle. They were obviously worried about the effects wearing off and Niko gaining control over his wolf and I, my magic. I had no idea how long we had been held here. With no sense of night or day and time slipping by from the constant feeling of being knocked out, it was hard to know.
