Ruby POV Urghhhhh. Why? Why is it so bright? I groan loudly as I flop about on the bed and pull the pillow over my head. My head is throbbing and the fluorescent light streaming through the window is only antagonizing it. My mouth feels dry as I smack my lips together. Blindly, I feel around in the bed next to me, searching for Ezra. “Ezra?” My hoarse voice cracks. I find his arm and start tapping it. “Water. I need water.” He grumbles incoherently and turns away from me in the bed, ignoring my dying plea. What a mate! I kick my legs backwards in the bed and connect with his shin, I think, and he growls out at the pain. “What Ruby!” he shouts, irritated and grumpy to be woken up so brutally. “I’m dying.” “No, you are not. You are hungover,” his voice was muffled by the pillow.
