A week had passed since our pack’s spy went missing and never came back. I feared that my probing would reach the Alpha King if the royal pack questioned the spy, but I was sure that even if he got caught that he would never reveal who hired him because such spies were given special training for this very situation. They would die before they ever gave the name of the pack that hired them, but if he’s dead then I won’t be able to find out if Elaine is still alive or not.
I expected him to come back after two days, but a week has now passed and I don't know why he hasn't come back.
