"Come with me," he whispered, slipping his hand in mine. I smiled, clutching Miles's hand as he dragged me along the beach. It was dark, the sunset reflecting off the water. It was silent and there was no one else around. I grabbed his hand tighter, not wanting to let go. "Jump in," Miles said softly, pointing out at the waves. I stared out into the water, smiling. My grin faded as the water disappeared and collapsed into a black hole. I jumped backwards, dropping Miles's hand in desperation, but the grip remained strong, holding my arm tightly. I tried to shrug his hand off, tried to pull him back away from the black pit. "It's going to swallow you!" I screamed, yanking his arm. He didn't move, just stared at me, his golden eyes filled with horror and love. Suddenly wind rustled up
