“It’s beautiful here... and it must feel amazing to soak in a place like this,” I whispered.
Now I understood why he didn’t let me bathe earlier, this was our destination all along.
“If you want to bathe,” he said, his tone even and respectful. “You may remove your clothes and leave on whatever you’d like to cover yourself.”
I turned to look at him, a bit amused. “Do people pass by here?”
“No,” he replied with certainty. “No one else knows about this place. It’s nearly at the peak of the mountain, and I’m the only one who comes here.”
I smiled. “In that case... I’ll undress.”
He gave me a single, respectful nod and turned his back on me without hesitation.
“When you’re ready, you can step into the water,” he said calmly, his back still facing me.
