I don't know what it is about her puffy red eyes but I fall apart at the sight of them. Nothing else matters except that I make her feel safe and secure again.
I listen to her soft snores and watch her eyes partially close as she sleeps. I feel horrible she hasn't slept well the past four days.
I watch her sleep for a while and I finally understand why dad always took mum on every business trip.
Mum never told us the reason but looking at my girlfriend it's undeniable that I can't leave her on any other trip.
Staring at my phone screen, I need to hang up. I should take a shower but I couldn't move. I couldn't stop staring at her face and the peaceful sleep she was having after a few days.
