"Hi mum, what do I owe this pleasure," I smile and move to greet her.
"Morning baby, you haven't checked on me in a while," she says.
I chuckle "mum I called you yesterday. I told you I propose to Kahdeem."
"You know what I mean. A visit to the house or a lunch date."
"We will be over for dinner on Sunday."
"I want personal time with my son."
"Okay mum, how about..." I check my schedule on my phone, "Friday I'm free, is that good for you."
"I have to be pencilled in," she rolls her eyes and dramatically walks into my office.
"Mum I love you and dinner at that Italian restaurant you like so much is not a stretch for me. I want to take my favourite girl out to dinner."
