I lay awake, arms behind my head, watching her sleep. My mother's words resonate within me. She knows something going on between Kahdeem and me.
Call it mother intuition or instincts but she was spotted on in her reasoning. I think everyone in the room picked up on it but only mum spoke to me.
I didn't want to say much or give her the benefit of the doubt. I know how she can be but her words hit me strongly.
