“Yes, baby?” He asked, snapping out of his daze, letting me know that he didn’t hear a word that I said. I walked toward him and put my hands on his cheeks, cupping them as I looked at the man.
“Are you okay?” I asked, my voice softening. “You’re lost in your thoughts.”
“There is a lot that we are going to have to deal with, and I don’t find myself knowing what to do at this point,” he said, looking away from me. “Without the elders by our side, we are going to be screwed when it comes to our allies. They would do their best to make sure that we are alone, and with the cursed Alpha coming, they might run to ensure their lives.”
