"You really did a fantastic job earlier, but I guess the raptors did too. They're strong this year, especially Archer," Coach Torres said and looked at Shiloh. "Shiloh, you need to step up your game once more. Defeat them in the Governor's Cup. It's time for Stathmore High to claim the championship," Coach added. Kayden looked at Shiloh because the pressure on him is great as the team captain of the Stathmore Spartans. "Yes, Coach," Shiloh answered. "Alright, you're dismissed. No practice today. Rest your body, and see you in two days," Coach Torres said, and the team dispersed one by one. Kayden used this opportunity to approach Shiloh, who was fixing his shoes. "You okay, bro? Coach was too hard on you," he said and tapped Shiloh's back. "I'm good. Coach is right, Kay. I need to step up my game so I can beat Archer and claim the trophy," Shiloh said. "But he's too hard," Kayden said. "I know what you went through with the training over the past few months," he added. Shiloh took his duffel bag and looked at his friend. "Thank you, Kay, but I know Coach has a reason. I'll go ahead now. See you at the practice," he said and headed out of the gym, leaving Kayden, who was still looking at him. Shiloh adjusted his hoodie and put on his mask. He's making sure no one will see and know him. He walked to the convenience store on the next street and saw the black car parked in the lot. Shiloh pursed his lips and knocked on the window. The window rolled down, and he saw Archer wearing sunglasses with a smirk on his face. "Open the door to the back," Shiloh demanded. "Sweety, I'm not your driver. Sit next to me," Archer said and smiled as sweetly as possible and closed the window. Shiloh cursed under his breath and went to the passenger's seat. Archer looked at him, crossing his arms. Before Archer drives off, he leans over, catching Shiloh by surprise. "What are you doing?!" Shiloh said while glaring at him. "Chill, I was getting your seatbelt. You didn't wear them," Archer replied. "Remember, safety first," he said and smiled knowingly. Archer started the car and drove away. He went to his condo, which no one knew about, and parked the car. With his mask and hoodie still on, Shiloh went out of the car. They went inside the elevator, and Archer pressed the button for the 7th floor. Silence engulfed them until they reached Archer's unit. "I saw you drink it," Archer said. "You were careless, Alexii," he said. Shiloh removed his hoodie and mask. "I forgot, and it wasn't going to happen again," Shiloh said. "And it's Shiloh for you," he added. Archer just shrugged his shoulders. "Want to eat? What do you want?" Archer asked as he headed to the kitchen. "What do you want, Archer?" Shiloh asked. "Really? You're asking me that? When you clearly know what we BOTH want," he said, smirking, making Shiloh's face red like a tomato. Archer walked towards him, and Shiloh stepped backwards until his back was pressed against the wall. Their eyes locked together as Archer put his hands on the wall, locking Shiloh. "You know, I have been wanting to do this since earlier when you went hard on defense," he said and looked at his lips. Shiloh's breath hitched. "Don't..." Shiloh stopped and put his hands on his chest and slowly pushed him. "We agreed we'd never talk about the games we had," he added. "Fine, but I still want to do this," he said as he cupped Shiloh's face and slowly leaned in. He brushed his fingers through his lips and kissed them slowly, but then it turned aggressive. Hungry and wanting. Shiloh could feel a tightness in his stomach. "See, I told you I could smell it. Do you really want the people to know that the captain of the Stathmore Spartans is Omega in disguise?" Archer asked, both breathing heavily after the intense kiss. "No," Shiloh said. It simply could never happen under any circumstances. It will be the end of his career if it comes out. No Omegas were given the opportunity, unlike the other two genders, who were given a lot. "Let me take care of that," Archer said, making Shiloh gulp. Archer slowly lifted Shiloh's hands and pinned them on the wall. He started kissing him again. How and when did this setup happen? Shiloh briefly remembered the day he fainted in the public library because he didn't take his meds and his heat arrived without notice. Alphas swarmed, trying to find him and Shiloh, and then woke up in the hospital and saw Archer talking to his doctor. "Excuse me?" he called their attention. "Shiloh," the doctor said. "What happened?" Shiloh asked, confused. The doctor looked at Archer. "My nephew here, Archer, found you unconscious," the doctor said. "You were in danger, Shiloh; the Alphas were around the place where you fainted. How could you forget to take your suppressants? "Good thing my nephew was around and knows you," he added. The horror in Shiloh’s face grew as the information sank in. Out of all the people in the country, why does it have to be Archer who found him? Archer is his biggest rival and the captain of the Brighton Raptors. "Hi, Alexii," Archer said and smirked. Shiloh felt his world crumble. He's doomed. Now that Archer knows the truth about him, he knows the captain of the rival team would use this opportunity to destroy him and his career. "I'll leave the two of you alone for a moment while I take the results of your examination," the doctor said and left. "I know what you're thinking, Alexii. I'm not that kind of man," Archer said, but Shiloh knows him in the court. He destroys his enemies. But what he was thinking didn't happen. Archer didn't disclose his gender to anyone, but when Shiloh confronted him, he proposed a deal for them to become f**k buddies. Shiloh snapped out of his thoughts when Archer called his name. "Are you alright?" Archer worriedly asked. Shiloh looked at him and slowly nodded his head. Archer heaved a sigh and took a step backward, putting his hands in his pockets. "If you don't want it, I won't force you, Alexii. Please, just speak to me," he said. Shiloh bowed his head. "I'll get the meals ready and after we eat, I'll take you home," Archer said and was about to go back to the kitchen when Shiloh stopped him. "It's not that..." Shiloh couldn't get the words out of his mouth, and before Archer could talk, Shiloh pulled him into a kiss. "There," Shiloh said. Archer smiled and grabbed his nape, pulling him close to him and hungrily kissing him. Shiloh put his hands on his shoulders and kissed him back—unaware that nothing after those moments would ever be the same.
